Rebecca Droeger

Every week before I write my article, I say several prayers to God that He will guide me and fill me with the Holy Spirit.  I pray that He will use me to communicate His good and perfect message.

Today, I had several topics to choose from.  Over the weekend, I watched several programs on the History channel that were filled with inaccuracies and misrepresentations.  I was all set to write a scathing review of their material.

On the other hand, I could write about all of the False Christ activity we’re experiencing as of late.  That would definitely show the signs of the time and the immanency of the Rapture.

Then, I just saw were the military is undergoing the repeal of the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” Policy.  Don’t get me started!

It all melted away as I arrived home and spent some time outside with my husband, daughter, and our giant husky.

It was a gorgeous Fall day.  The leaves were beautiful shades of maroon, deep red, yellow, gold, and brown.  Many of the leaves were still on the trees, and many were strewn all of the yard and the driveway.

We were able to walk outside in our own backyard and enjoy all of this.  We live on six (6) acres of wooded land on the edge of Indianapolis.  Our gorgeous, three-story home sits in the middle of the property, and a creek lies on the back edge of our land.  A short walk through the woods and over a couple of ravines takes you right to the trickling stream.

Today, my pain did not prevent me from enjoying the stroll through the woods with my family.  We trounced up and down the hills, feeling the leaves crunch beneath our feet.  The smell of the sap from the falling leaves filled the air.  The weather was just right for a nice jacket and jeans; my favorite wardrobe.

For a moment, I just stood there, listening to the wind blow through the trees, smelling the wonderful scent of Fall, and thanking God for such a beautiful and marvelous Creation.

All of the troubles of the World did not seem as important as I stood there, marveling at God’s greatness.  I prayed, and I said “thank You, My Lord.  Thank you for such Blessings.  Thank You for letting me experience all of this; for giving us so much.  I love You!”

God has truly blessed me and my family.  He gave me a wonderful husband, a fantastic daughter, the best job anyone could ever pray for, and so much more.  I could go on and on, but I would feel like I’m bragging.

At the risk of sounding boastful, I do have to share one more blessing I’m completely grateful for having:  my family.  And I’m not just referencing my biological family; but my Omega Letter family.

Having all of you as part of my Church family has provided me comfort beyond measure.   Being able to share Scripture, our excitement over the coming of our Lord, and the wonderful Articles Jack brings us every day.  All of you are so precious, and more valuable than Gold.

Thank you for being my Omega Letter family.  God bless you and keep you.  If I do not get a chance to meet you in person at an Omega Letter gathering, I am sure I will see you soon in Heaven with our Father!

Psalms 30:12 “To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee forever.”
