The New Black Panther Party was founded in Dallas, Texas in 1989 under the formal name, ''New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense.'' The chairman of the NBPP is Malik Zulu Shabazz, who attracted the attention of NBPP founder Khalid Abdul Muhammed during a speech at Howard University.
In a 1993 speech condemned by the U.S. Congress and Senate, Muhammad, lionized on the NBPP site, referred to Jews as “bloodsuckers,” labeled the pope a “no-good cracker” and advocated the murder of white South Africans who would not leave the nation subsequent to a 24-hour warning.
Shabazz was the "warm up act" for Muhammed. In his introduction, he engaged in a little "call and response" from the audience:
"Who is it that controls the Federal Reserve?"
"Who is it that has our entertainers... and our athletes in a vise grip?"
That was in 1994. So it isn't as if Malik Shabazz came by his racist worldview just recently. Malik Shabazz was a dyed-in-the-wool, card-carrying racist going back at least twenty years.
So it raised quite a stir when the White House released its visitors list back in 2009 to see Malik Shabazz listed alongside Bill Ayers, R. Kelly and Jeremiah Wright as White House visitors. The Obama administration insisted that it was a different Bill Ayers, R. Kelly, Jeremiah Wright and a different Malik Shabazz?
Riiiiight! The White House visitor's log is probably filled with duplicates of common American names like Malik Shabazz.
I mean, really. Barack Hussein Obama is the President of the United States of America. The last people he would associate himself with would be the deeply racist New Black Panther Party.
(Pay no attention to the photo of Obama and Shabbaz at the podium together. . . . I am the great and powerful Oz. . . )
The NBPP’s official platform states “white man has kept us deaf, dumb and blind,” refers to the “white racist government of America,” demands black people be exempt from military service and uses the word "Jew" repeatedly in quotation marks.
The New Black Panther's Chief of Staff is a lady by the name of Michelle Williams. She made national news this week when she gave an online interview that was picked up and replayed nationally by a syndicated radio talk show hosted by somebody named, (I'm not making this up) "Bubba, the Love Sponge."
Here is how the Chief of Staff of the New Black Panther Party expressed her frustration at Florida's hesitation to rush to judgment in the Trayvon Martin case. Can't you just feel the love?
"Let me tell you, the things that's about to happen, to these honkeys, these crackers, these pigs, these pink people, these ---- people. It has been long overdue. My prize right now this evening ... is gonna be the bounty, the arrest, dead or alive, for George Zimmerman. You feel me?"
You bet I feel ya, Michelle. And as a "pink person" myself, it is mostly via the raised hairs on the back of my neck.
Does anybody else remember the two New Black Panther Party members dressed in combat fatigues and carrying weapons outside a voting booth back in 2008?
They were charged with voter intimidation and had pleaded guilty when the Holder Justice Department ordered the charges dropped on the grounds that black on white crime is not racist.
"A poll watcher who provided an affidavit to prosecutors in the case noted that Bartle Bull, who worked as a civil rights lawyer in the south in the 1960's and is a former campaign manager for Robert Kennedy, said it was the most blatant form of voter intimidation he had ever seen."
It is also interesting that the media has decided to zero in on George Zimmerman as a racist murderer, while essentially giving a pass to two actual racist murderers in Tulsa.
Tulsa Police Chief Chuck Jordan was reluctant to call the killings racially motivated, even after it surfaced that one of the suspects' father had been killed by a black man two years earlier.
But nobody is paying much attention to racism in the case of Jake England and Alvin Watts in Tulsa. They are too busy looking for the elusive racial motive in the killing of Trayvon Martin.
Where is Al Sharpton and his National Action Network? Coordinating the assault on George Zimmerman with the New Black Panthers under the approving eye of Attorney General Eric Holder.
It was Sharpton that threatened to move the protests "to the next level if Zimmerman isn't arrested." And it was Sharpton that won the AG's undying admiration for threatening civil disobedience.
The Attorney General praised Sharpton for his lawlessness and praised Sharpton for being "rightly concerned" about the killing of Trayvon Martin, "a young man whose future has been lost to the ages."
"At the opening of NAN’s 14th annual convention in Washington, D.C., the attorney general first thanked MSNBC’s Rev. Sharpton “for your partnership, your friendship, and your tireless efforts to speak out for the voiceless, to stand up for the powerless, and to shine a light on the problems we must solve, and the promises we must fulfill.”
Concerning Trayvon Martin, Holder said, “I know that many of you are greatly -- and rightly -- concerned about the recent shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, a young man whose future has been lost to the ages."
"As most of you know, three weeks ago, the Department of Justice launched an investigation into this incident, which remains open at this time, and prevents me from talking in detail about this matter," he said.
“Although I cannot share where current efforts will lead us from here, I can assure you that, in this investigation – and in all cases – we will examine the facts and the law,” said Holder.
“If we find evidence of a potential federal criminal civil rights crime, we will take appropriate action. And, at every step, the facts and the law will guide us forward."
First the trial. THEN the hangin'. George Zimmerman has a better chance of winning the lottery than of being acquitted of civil rights violations by the Holder Justice Department.
This is the same Attorney General that ruled that armed and uniformed black men shouting racial epithets outside a polling station in order to discourage voting against Barack Obama was NOT racially motivated.
The Obama administration cannot run on its record and have any hope of winning. And so it is planning to use racial and identity politics, the tried and true Democrat formula of "us vs. them" to convince minority and women's groups that the "other guys want to take away their stuff."
There has never been anything like this administration in American history.
It is beyond cynical. Beyond shameless. Never has there been a US administration with less respect for the law than this one.
Law enforcement officers under oath to defend the Constitution and to uphold US law are under orders to violate that oath when it comes to immigration law, the Defense of Marriage Act, going so far as to sue Arizona for trying to enforce existing federal law.
The Department of Homeland Security has suspended deportations against illegal aliens, effectively granting amnesty to those who would have been covered by the Dream Act, except the Dream Act was defeated in an overwhelmingly bi-partisan Senate vote.
The President has even sided with foreign powers against US states who refuse to ignore existing law, as well as suing two US states for upholding laws Obama doesn't agree with.
The list keeps growing and growing and growing -- it almost feels like one of those "what if" movies, like "what if the Russians managed to put a ringer in the White House?"
There is a sense of relentlessness about it all -- a sense of overt lawlessness that only gets worse every time they get called on it.
One of the bedrock principles of the US Republic is that nobody, from the president on down, is above the law. The law must be obeyed by all citizens, and in particular, by the President of the United States.
If the President can ignore laws he does not like, then why can't everybody else? What if citizens stopped paying taxes? What if they stopped contributing to Social Security? If Obama can ignore the will of Congress, why can't the people that give Congress its authority in the first place?
You see the problem. It is a mystery how Obama and the Left manage to get away with such overt lawlessness.
One cannot imagine George Bush announcing he planned to bypass Congress because they disagree with his policies, yet that is precisely what Obama did -- AND he got away with it.
And so . . . what WILL be the sign of Thy coming and of the end of the age, His disciples wanted to know.
"First," the Lord replied, "take heed that no man deceive you. For nation (ethnos) shall rise against nation (ethnos) . . . Then many shall be offended, and shall betray one another. And shall hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and will deceive many. And because iniquity (anomia=lawlessness) shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. . ."
