  Globalism - Ecumenism
Along Came a Spider
November 02, 2015 - Globalism - Ecumenism
From the 6th century through the 16th, most of the Western world labored and toiled under the heavy handed and legalistic machinations of the Roman Catholic Church.  The Popes, supposed successors to the Apostle Peter in their apostleship and bearers of the ‘keys of the kingdom’, pompously bore the title as the ‘Vicar of Christ’ here on the earth.  The 16th century Protestant Reformation proved to be the death knell in the Vatican’s almost total control over the kings and kingdoms throughout Europe.
One Fat and Sassy Church
October 13, 2015 - Globalism - Ecumenism
Believers see the UN’s Agenda 2030 as a blueprint for one-world government ratified September 25, as a harbinger of the seven-year period called the Tribulation. Doubters point to the persistence of deep divisions in world views, most significantly with respect to religion. No argument there. But when the church is gone only delusion will remain.
Are We Paying Attention?
October 09, 2015 - Globalism - Ecumenism
Are we paying attention to what's going on around us? Or are we so taken up in our own world that we don't recognize where we're quickly heading as a society?
The European Migration Crisis
October 02, 2015 - Globalism - Ecumenism
One of the things guaranteed to get my attention is sanctimonious broad-stroke preaching designed to promote indiscriminate acceptance of Syrian migrants into Europe and other nations. I can understand the sentiment from a humane and Christian perspective. But in this case I believe it to be a dangerous one.
One Big Happy Family
September 29, 2015 - Globalism - Ecumenism
Churchill and allies, as WW2 ended, proposed global governance (the “New World Order”) as a means to world peace.  Their efforts fell short but resulted in the UN.  Liberals may have the last laugh, however. Because Friday, the UN and the Pope agreed to a resolution that will necessitate a centralized authoritarian, global rule; Agenda 2030.
Wolf in Pope’s Clothing
August 04, 2015 - Globalism - Ecumenism
The “Ecumenical Movement”, formed 100 years ago “to promote understanding and cooperation among faiths” (and ultimately, religious unity),” is gaining steam in our 21st century world. It could eliminate religious wars. It could make the whole world, finally, (all drinking coke, of course) sing in perfect harmony.  It could be the overture of the rise of the Beast.
The First Francis (And the Second)
April 14, 2015 - Globalism - Ecumenism
I spent March 12, 2015 in the Italian city of Assisi.  Saint Francis of Assisi was born there in 1181, and it was ancient even then. Perched vicariously on a mountainside, a more charming, picturesque village there never was.  But that’s just the visual. Spiritually?  A dark place. Very dark place. (Think seat of Satan.)
Blood on the Doorposts
April 01, 2015 - Globalism - Ecumenism
Moreover, they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses in which they eat it. (Exodus 12:7)
This Steadily Growing Darkness
March 20, 2015 - Globalism - Ecumenism
As most people do, I often think about friends and acquaintances from my past. I wonder about people I've lost track of. Every now and then I'll reconnect by sending an email, or make a phone call, or Skype - just to catch up.
A Return of the Old gods?
March 13, 2015 - Globalism - Ecumenism
Recently, there have been a few prophecy-related speculations regarding the newly elected Greek Prime Minister Alex Tsipras. Some have tentatively asked: "Could he be the prophetic Man of Sin?"
The IMG of the Beast: Part I
March 02, 2015 - Globalism - Ecumenism
Not many years ago, students of the Bible struggled with many of the prophetic texts that had yet, as of then, come to pass.  One of these issues was whether Israel would come back as a nation.  Both the OT and NT alluded to this, but 1,878 years had passed and still there was no national state of Israel anywhere on anyone’s map.  Then on May 14, 1948, there was.  Of course, this is old news to us now, because this transpired some 67 years ago, but point being, until it happened, debate raged whether it ever could happen.
Being Bereft of Christ
January 09, 2015 - Globalism - Ecumenism
I've noted before that I learned about God at my mother's feet and at Catholic Grade School. As I grew up, I encountered the challenge of evolution and was faced with the skepticism of my first atheist friend.
A Tale of Two Churches
December 30, 2014 - Globalism - Ecumenism
I hope all reading this had a very merry Christmas (I know I did), but it’s time to move on. Because as much as I love Christmas (and Christmas music, and Christmas cookies, and Christmas presents) Jesus never told us to remember His birth.  He told us to remember His death.
What Lies Beneath
December 05, 2014 - Globalism - Ecumenism
Have you ever wondered what motivates people? I do. Not just on the surface but deep down - what really motivates them? My wife has heard this story a dozen times too often than she prefers. Well, here it is once again. Sorry, Honey.
Easy Come, Easy Go
November 03, 2014 - Globalism - Ecumenism
In recent years, there has been a seemingly unending slew of compiled data from various Barna Group Studies that show interesting religious trends in the United States.  There is a levelling off, or even a slight decrease in the number of those who have a profession in the Christian faith in the overall population.
October 08, 2014 - Globalism - Ecumenism
In the 1990's, a number of prominent evangelical and Catholic leaders signed an agreement called “Evangelicals and Catholics Together” to promote collaboration between the two groups. The World Council of Churches and prominent leaders like Dr. Billy Graham promoted the move toward unity among the many denominations that call themselves Christian. Unite, sounds innocent enough.
Dreams and Dogma
September 16, 2014 - Globalism - Ecumenism
The God of Psalm 7:11: (the righteous judge “angry with the wicked every day “), preached in the fire and brimstone of yesteryear) is today replaced by a milquetoast God who excludes nobody, an ill tide that has carried even evangelical pastors into taking man’s word above God’s.  Apparently, because they don’t know what God’s says.
The National Council of Churches
An Unholy Alliance Part III
September 10, 2014 - Globalism - Ecumenism
Psalm 83 contains a prophecy that I believe is being unfolded before our eyes. It has not yet come to pass, but is in the process of being fulfilled.
Where are you heading, Friend?
September 05, 2014 - Globalism - Ecumenism
“I’ve drunk of every fount of pleasure and quaffed every cup of fame, yet, alas, I die of thirst!” ~ Lord Byron
The National Council of Churches
An Unholy Alliance Part II
September 03, 2014 - Globalism - Ecumenism
Since its founding in 1950, the National Council of Churches has remained faithful to the legacy of its predecessor, the Communist front-group known as the Federal Council of Churches, which the NCC absorbed in 1950. At one time an unabashed apostle of the Communist cause, the NCC has today recast itself as a leading representative of the so-called religious Left.

An Unholy Alliance Part I
August 27, 2014 - Globalism - Ecumenism
The establishment left has always had multiple outlets for its views. One prominent outlet has been the National Council of Churches. The National Council of Churches (NCC), known as the Federal Council of Churches prior to 1950, has been the primary representative organization of the American Establishment. The NCC has been overwhelmingly leftist since its beginning in 1908.

Redefining Christianity
August 13, 2014 - Globalism - Ecumenism
Many commentaries and articles are presented all over the internet that address issues regarding apostasy within churches today, faulty doctrine, prophecy, and other topics that should be of great concern and/or interest to Christians.
Nothing New Under The Sun
August 06, 2014 - Globalism - Ecumenism
“The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. Is there anything whereof it may be said, See, this is news? It hath been already of old times which was before us. There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.” Ecc 1:9-11
The Fourth Apostasy
August 04, 2014 - Globalism - Ecumenism
''Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.'' (1 Timothy 4:1-4 NKJV)
The Bible Buffet
July 01, 2014 - Globalism - Ecumenism
Pastor Jim Burklo is a United Church of Christ pastor and the Associate Dean of Religious Life at the University of Southern California. To say the least, he has very interesting take on the faith, authoring a book called "Open Christianity: Keep the Faith but Drop the Dogma.  This wouldn’t worry me so much if he didn’t have a whole lot of company.
