Forbidden Knowledge Part II
March 17, 2014 - Globalism - Ecumenism
Man sought the forbidden to regain that which was lost at the garden and Satan used man’s desire to try and prevent He who would come, from coming.  Forbidden knowledge, which for most of our existence, remained just out of man’s reach, has now come full circle.  We live in a day and age when science has replaced the supernatural as man’s means to unlock the mysteries of life.
The Devil Made Me Do It!
January 16, 2014 - Globalism - Ecumenism
Some of us age-impaired will remember that show with Flip Wilson as the star. I suppose it was the #1 show for a while, and laughter is good medicine. Every time Flip would do something he shouldn’t have done, his answer was always the same: ''The Devil made me do it''.
Mock of Ages
November 12, 2013 - Globalism - Ecumenism
Last Sunday morning, several hundred congregants in Los Angeles christened a brand new church by gathering, singing songs, passing the plate, and listening to an inspiring message. Sounds familiar, right?  But this wasn't a new Baptist or Methodist church. It was a new Atheist church. And all were welcome. Except God.
Stealing Jesus
October 11, 2013 - Globalism - Ecumenism
Right from the beginning I must stress that I haven't read Bill O'Reilly's new book "Killing Jesus". And, secondly, that he inspired the title of this week's column. But more on that later.

''Political correctness is tyranny with manners.'' -Charlton Heston
Pandora’s Box
August 28, 2013 - Globalism - Ecumenism
It’s never difficult to tell the day summer vacation is officially over and school starts. School busses are everywhere, and traffic is a worse nightmare than usually, at least where I live. It’s an exciting time for the kids, a little stressful for the parents and of course there is the worry that some lunatic will shoot up the school before the school year ends.
Blurred Lines
June 10, 2013 - Globalism - Ecumenism
Born again Christians know what it’s like to never be alone.  We know that Christ is with us always and the Holy Spirit has taken up active residence within us, and as a human being with a quickened spirit, we become aware and more sensitive to our Lord in our lives.
Truth or Consequences
June 04, 2013 - Globalism - Ecumenism
It was Edmund Burke who observed that ''those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it''- an insight whose fulfillment unfortunately, has also been repeated.  Our generation, too, must learn from history--particularly from one particularly costly moment.  Will we?  Let's hope so.  What lesson? Two words: the Sudetenland.
Head in the Clouds
May 20, 2013 - Globalism - Ecumenism
As I’m sure by now, most of you have heard of ''The Cloud'' and thought I would take some time to explain what it is, and some of its’ pros and cons.
May 13, 2013 - Globalism - Ecumenism
In the computer world, as well as others, there are two edges to the technology sword.  The one side is the leading edge and the other is the bleeding edge.
To Each According To His Need
January 05, 2013 - Globalism - Ecumenism
According to the government's unofficial Ministry of Propaganda, the US 'narrowly avoided going over the fiscal cliff' by 'compromising' with a 'balance' between spending cuts and raising taxes. That is how the New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, The Associated Press, Reuters, NPR, CNN and MSNBC characterized it.
A Darkness Rising
December 07, 2012 - Globalism - Ecumenism
A melodramatic title, you say?  Perhaps.
Out of Many, One
October 23, 2012 - Globalism - Ecumenism
Currently, out of the desperation in Europe’s ongoing financial crises, there is in the works a marrying of the technology that currently exists with the financial restructuring that is seemingly channelizing the EU into becoming a more unified, streamlined, cashless society.
The Forty-Seven Percent
September 25, 2012 - Globalism - Ecumenism
According to Occupy Wall Streeters and their Democrat supporters in the White House and Congress, America is divided economically into the ''one percent'' and the ''ninety-nine percent'' with the one percent as the bad guys who won't give the ninety-nine percent their ''fair share''.
UN Making its Move. . .
July 12, 2012 - Globalism - Ecumenism
Right now, as we speak, the United Nations is hosting top officials from "all the countries of the world" in New York City for the UN Conference on the Arms Trade Treaty, or ATT. This is another one of those ideas that sounds like a good thing, as long as you don't look at it too closely.
The Useless United Nations (UUN)
May 31, 2012 - Globalism - Ecumenism
BEIRUT (AP) – U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon called on Syria on Thursday to stop its attacks, saying the U.N. observers monitoring the cease-fire were not there to watch the killing of innocent people. The warning came as activists reported that Syrian troops again shelled the country's central region of Houla where more than 100 people were massacred last week. -USA Today, May 31, 2012
What Color is Your Faith?
May 23, 2012 - Globalism - Ecumenism
Coming to a pulpit near you (courtesy of Al Gore and friends) a new kind of worship: 'GreenFaith'.  But it's not really faith, which traditionally seeks God as the source of truth. And it's not really green, either.  Unless you're talking the kind of green certain people like to remove from your pockets.
A Desolate Waste-Land
May 18, 2012 - Globalism - Ecumenism
I still run the gamut of emotions and frustration whenever I run across New Age materials in various media forms.  It happens all too frequently.
March 27, 2012 - Globalism - Ecumenism
Looking back at recent history, we can see one of the most blatant and ludicrous attempts at replacing Jesus with another, man-made 'jesus'.  The Third Reich in the 1920’s and 30’s did this when they were rising to power.   Their ''Positive Christianity'' sought to 'Aryanize' Jesus as a Galilean (who by their definition weren’t Jewish).  Literally, they tried to remove the Jewishness of both Jesus and the scriptures from the Bible.
The Death of Atheism
February 27, 2012 - Globalism - Ecumenism
The fool has said in his heart, ''There is no God.''
They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none who does good.  (Proverbs 14:1 NKJV)
Highway to Hell
February 15, 2012 - Globalism - Ecumenism
Have you noticed?  Faith today is all about the “Spiritual Journey”.  It’s everywhere.  Obama detailed his spiritual journey for Time magazine. The Dalai Lama just  released his book: My Spiritual Journey.   But if everyone’s on their own spiritual journey, how do we know what lies at journey’s end?
Club Med
February 06, 2012 - Globalism - Ecumenism
While currently not burning up any headlines in our recent past, the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) has slowly been making headway over key foundational issues.
Dangerous Charlatans
January 27, 2012 - Globalism - Ecumenism
Imagine that you needed to buy the right car to take a long across the country trip. You do some reasonable research and listen to a series of spiels given by several manufacturers and salespeople. Each one is giving you impressive reasons why their car is just the right one for you among all the rest. So you finally decide on what you think is a reliable car and sign on the dotted line.
American Albatross
January 10, 2012 - Globalism - Ecumenism
It’s very easy to be labeled a ‘doom and gloomer’ these days for simply reporting the facts.  “But facts are a stubborn thing”, John Adams once said.
Is A Financial Jubilee Ahead?
November 07, 2011 - Globalism - Ecumenism
Let’s get clear on the subject of the world’s sovereign debt.  It cannot, and will not, be repaid.
