What Is This World Coming To?

Dumb and Dumberer, er

Jurors hearing the case against Cyril Wecht, the retired Allegheny County coroner (who coincidentally was the instructor of a homicide investigation school I attended in Austin, Texas in the early 1980’s) seem inclined to acquit, according to a report in the Pittsburg-Post Gazette.

It appears that the reporter relied on, well, to quote directly. . . “”In my opinion, the plan, the scheme was the problem for me personally,” said the jury foreman, who requested anonymity in light of the judge’s request that jurors not yet speak publicly.”

Do you think the judge will be able to figure out which ‘anonymous leaker’ was the foreman?

President Betray-us

Former President Jimmy Carter is reportedly planning to stab US foriegn policy (not to mention Israel in the back (again.

Fox News reports:The Arabic-language newspaper Al-Hayat reported Tuesday that Carter was planning a trip to Syria for mid-April, during which he would meet with Khaled Meshal, the exiled head of the Palestinian terror group Hamas, on April 18.

Deanna Congileo, Carter’s press secretary, confirmed in an e-mail to FOXNews.com that Carter will be in the Mideast in April. Pressed for comment, Congileo did not deny that the former president is considering visiting Meshal.

Remember, one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter. (I’m talking about Meshal, not Carter. )

Anonymous Wisdom From My Email Box. . .

About one and a half years ago:
1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;
2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;
3) The unemployment rate was 4.5%.

Since voting in a Democratic Congress in 2006 we have seen:
1) Consumer confidence plummet;
2) The cost of regular gasoline soar to over $3.35 a gallon (Higher in some places and expected to pass $4.00 by summer);
3) Unemployment is over 5% (a 10%+ increase);
4) American households have seen $2.3 trillion in equity value
evaporate (stock and mutual fund losses);
5) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $1.2 trillion dollars ;
6) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.

America voted for change in 2006, and we got it! Remember it’s Congress that makes law not the President.
