What Is This World Coming To?

What Jimmy Really Negotiated . . .

Former US president Jimmy Carter claimed a major breakthrough in his unauthorized and self-appointed peace mission to the Middle East.

Returning from four days of meetings with leaders of Hamas, a triumphant Carter announced today in Jerusalem his mediation efforts were successful – Hamas agreed to a 10-year truce in exchange for Israel withdrawing to what is known as the pre-1967 borders.

“There’s no doubt that both the Arab world and the Palestinians, including Hamas, will accept Israel’s right to live in peace within the 1967 borders.” - Jimmy Carter

The former president gave no explanation for Hamas’ inexplicable change of heart. Hamas, however, was less reticent with the details of the alleged ‘offer.’ Hamas expressly ruled out Israel’s right to live in peace, but instead, offered Israel a ‘hudna’.

The term is derived from the Koran and refers to a ten year ‘peace’ deal Mohammed made with the Quryash tribe that controlled Mecca. Mohammed abrogated the hudna as soon as he had gained military superiority — eight years early.

Hamas is offering Israel the identical deal, going so far as to reference Mohammed’s hudna so there could be no mistake.

“We will be ready for a long interim agreement based on a period of cease-fire that can go to 10 years like it was done by the prophet Muhammad with the enemies of the Muslims. During this period we will build our state on the strong basis of honor and with an honest administration.” Carter interlocutor Khaled Meshaal

Why would Meshaal make an offer he knows Israel must refuse? Propaganda. Hamas can claim it offered Israel a truce, using codewords that anyone familiar with the Koran (like Israel) would see through immediately. But to anyone else, Israel sounds like the aggressor, courtesy of former US president James Earl Carter.

  1. I ask this over and over and there is never an answer. Why isn’t Carter punished for his treason? Perhaps rhetorical but would still like to know the government’s reasoning. They’ve all run amuck.

  2. I believe Jimmy Carter is a Christian. I can’t see any reason to doubt him. He has a ‘Silver Buffalo Award’ from the Boy Scouts of America, and according to Wikipedia he’s also a politician, peanut farmer, nuclear engineer, sailor, author and Baptist. That’s quite a list of accomplishments but Jimmy didn’t stop there. No Jimmy also gave away the most strategic piece of real estate in the Western Hemisphere, the Panama Canal, and to top that off he allowed radical Islam back into Iran after years of Iran being a democracy. Thanks Jimmy.

Now he’s at it again trying to bring ‘peace’ to the Middle East between the terrorist group Hamas and Israel. Jimmy shouldn’t have done it but he thinks he has a moral obligation to ‘try’ – in spite the State Department’s clear warnings and Israel’s pleas not to negotiate with Hamas or Syria.
The Bible says in the end times (now) that people will mislead the world out of ignorance or their own desires. Sadly Jimmy’s legacy has led him into that group too.

The apostle Peter wrote about seemingly good-natured men.

    2 Peter chapter 3 verses 10-18
“ But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God… Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction. Therefore, dear friends, since you already know this, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your secure position. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen. “
