King Harry The Worst
“Norm Coleman will never ever serve [again] in the Senate,” Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid told Politico’s Manu Raju. “He lost the election. He can stall things, but he’ll never serve in the Senate.”
Harry seems a bit confused — whether or not Coleman lost or Franken managed to steal it is a matter of conjecture — but Reid doesn’t have the authority to banish Norm Coleman from the Senate. Anymore than he has the authority to deny Roland Burris his seat or to hand Coleman’s to the deplorable Al Franken.
It is up to the voters of MInnesota to throw away any viable political representation all by themselves. What is fascinating about all this is the concern being shown by King Harry over Burris’ eligibility for the Senate. Barack Hussein Obama’s eligibility to be president is far less settled than that of Roland Burris. Interestingly, King Harry has also painted the Senate into a permanent corner. In his efforts to manipulate who serves as Illinois junior Senator, King Harry hung his argument on the fact Illinios secretary of state refused to sign off on the gubernatoral appointment made by Rod Blagojevich. The Illinois secretary of state was surprised to learn King Harry had conveyed upon his office veto power over the governor’s office. If Obama steps over the bounds, I will tell him. … I do not work for Barack Obama. I work with him,” Reid told the Hill.
