The Obama Youth Brigades: Coming to a City Near You
The following is the actual text of HR 1388 Subtitle C of title I (42 U.S.C. 12571 et seq.) of what will could easily be called by its implied title, “The Obama Youth.” Obama intended for it to be mandatory, but the watered-down version only makes it a requirement for those seeking certain entitlements, like student loans, federal financial assistance, Medicare/Medicade, that kind of thing.
‘(a) Prohibited Activities- An approved national service position under this subtitle may not be used for the following activities:
‘(1) Attempting to influence legislation
‘(2) Organizing or engaging in protests, petitions, boycotts, or strikes.
‘(3) Assisting, promoting, or deterring union organizing.
‘(4) Impairing existing contracts for services or collective bargaining agreements.
‘(5) Engaging in partisan political activities, or other activities designed to influence the outcome of an election to Federal office or the outcome of an election to a State or local public office.
‘(6) Participating in, or endorsing, events or activities that are likely to include advocacy for or against political parties, political platforms, political candidates, proposed legislation, or elected officials.
‘(7) Engaging in religious instruction, conducting worship services, providing instruction as part of a program that includes mandatory religious instruction or worship, constructing or operating facilities devoted to religious instruction or worship, maintaining facilities primarily or inherently devoted to religious instruction or worship, or engaging in any form of proselytization, consistent with section 132. (emphasis mine)
Any person who signs up for Obama’s GIVE program voluntarily gives up more rights than are demanded from members of the US Armed Forces. If one reads it carefully, participants of the GIVE program have pretty much given up any right to freedom of conscience whatsoever. Religious conviction is forbidden. And to keep it pure of outside influence, so too are pastors, chaplains, preachers, and teachers of any religious persuasion.
This is so stunningly overt that, at first, I thought it was something lifted from some conspiracist website. But no. The text comes from the Congressional Record. The story is outlined in detail at Worldnetdaily. And there are Obama’s own public statements to consider:
There has been a lot of discussion about the overtly fascist direction that the Obama administration is taking America, but it doesn’t seem to be having much impact, if any at all, on the mainstream media. Glenn Beck’s warning of the rise of American fascism has earned him nothing but scorn by the mainstream media. But the facts are undeniable.
It is instructive to google Glenn Beck and read some of the comments about the guy — you’d think he was some kind of enemy of the state. Maybe he is. Fascism is best defined as a form of government in which the state takes precedence over the individual. Teddy Roosevelt believed that all property was actually the property of the government, and that what considered to be ours was actually the part that the government lets us use. That is a fascist worldview summed up nicely.
For the state to be supreme, God must be removed from public discourse. The Declaration of Independence acknowledges that our individual rights are granted by the Creator, rather than government. The original intent was to put those rights out of reach of government. As long as the nation acknowledges a Creator, the contract remains valid. What the Creator grants, only the Creator can rescind.
But if the Guarantor of our individual rights is a myth, then the role of guarantor falls to government. The state steps into the role of supreme being, and our individual rights are immediately subordinated to the needs of the state, similarly to the UN Declaration of Human Rights, which is careful to note after each ‘guaranteed’ human right that; These rights and freedoms may in no case be exercised contrary to the purposes and principles of the United Nations.
What the supreme authority grants, the supreme authority can take away. Which is why the progressive movement has been so actively hostile to Christianity, the Bible, the very mention of a Creator God, and the revisionist historical view that denies any Christian influence in the founding of the Republic.
‘They’ said it couldn’t happen here. In fact, ‘they’ are still saying, while it is happening all around them. The fascists aren’t coming.
They’re here.
