This Article almost seems to have been penned for my Brother who has been suffering a long bout of pains and troubles from a accident two years ago. He keeps asking, Why me,

Thank you, I will definitely give it to him to read.

Pete, that was a very good article. I know that I have had trials and if they had not come, I wouldn't have the faith I have today. Or, the thankfulness..

I have always heard that if all the troubles in the world were put into one bag, we would reach in and choose our own.

Good comentary, Pete. Thanks.

Your childhood,  (though you are much younger) sounds like mine.  I could identify.

C.S. Lewis (along with Paul) had some pretty good insight.

God Bless,

I have always thought that our own personal journey as Christians, especially all “afflictions,” are those journeys which will matter most in God's future Kingdom. These are the journeys that draw us near to our Lord, Jesus Christ. C S Lewis, what a mind after God.

I have always enjoyed Pete’s “stuff,” also. Looking forward to more!

PS, I live right next to Camp Pendleton. I have always loved the sound of those noisy humming birds flying about. I always look up and say: Man, how cool is that! CDF (California Department of Forestry) has a pad at the airfield just a few thousand yards from my house. The landing path is right over my house. I love it. But, people in my gated community want them gone. Some of them would probably want Camp Pendleton gone. As for myself, the sounds of them flying about make me feel safe.

My brother-in-law flew Cobras in Vietnam and lost his gunner and best friend. My sister’s other husband flew fighter jets in the Marine Corps. I admired those guys! Anyhow, I can ramble on… I miss the handle of “Pedro Garcia”-- said with long rrrrroling Rs like the announcer for the LA Dodgers radio Spanish language, play-by-play would say. “Pedrrrrrro Garrrrrcia is up to bat!”
