Thank you, Rebecca, for reminding us of God's promises through His Apostle Paul in the 2Corinthians passage. I truly needed those verses as comfort. Grief is definitely hard to bear, and without The LORD, I know I wouldn't be functioning very well at all. Shalom, dear Sister!

Oh does this bring up memories! My cat caught a bird once and was playing with it. I found out because I heard the bird screaming. I didn't know birds could scream. I chased the cat away and found that the bird was very badly damaged but alive. So I put the bird out of its misery with a rock. Like you I was shaken and horrified. I felt miserable and ugly for killing the bird. I don't know why it so disturbed me. I have killed mice and rats with traps or Decon. Little incidents like this make me reflect about about the complexity of my soul/mind/spirit. Why would one thing disturb me and another not?
