I need no proof other than the Bible, but it is so fun to hand the secular world the backup stuff they believe in.  You are doing a great job!

Great stuff JL, awesome piece of history.

The unbelievers consider themselves the "enlightened" ones. How ironic it is that they will spend eternity in the dark, roasting in a foul odor, alone and tortured by demons. Makes me sad.

Mark

Since dating back to the 50's when I first read "Gods, Graves & Scholars" I've never ceased to delight in the way our Lord consistently causes discoveries like the Cyrus Cylinder to be unearthed confirming (not that those of who know Him need it) the veracity of His Word!!!

Thanks for commenting, Michael. If you ever get a chance to see the exhibit touring the world by the founders of Hobby Lobby   http://explorepassages.com/green   I would recommend it. They have so much information like the Cyrus Cylinder, it's awesome!!

Thanks Mark, and I'm sure it makes God sad too. I think and hope He will be very forgiving.

I agree Carolee. I think in the next few years, there are going to be some mind-boggling archeology discoveries "of biblical proportion."

Comments: Jerry, Thanks so much for the info on the Cyrus cylinder and the Hobby Lobby site. The Greens only started collecting artifacts in Nov.2009 and they have 40,000 now!!! The Tyndale fragment of the NT is very interesting to me. He was the first man in England to get the Bible into the hands of the common people in their own language. The Church of England labeled him a heretic and burned him at the stake with copies of his own bibles in the early 1500's. It's the same company who makes the bible I use today.

Thanks Danman,

Yes, Christianity certainly has it's "history," and a lot of it's bad.  Tyndale did a great service for the people and for God, in my opinion. Some of his interpretations were different, but every translatioin I have read has had differences. Lost in translation...
