10 Shout AMEN!Amen ~ 7 PrayingPraying

Comments: Amen! I can totally relate as I have the same struggles. Your article brought to mind C.S. Lewis's "The Silver Chair" where the Pevensies and their marsh wiggle escort had to resist a lethargy produced by the witch tossing a substance into the fire which produced smoke which prevented them from unloosing the prince. I feel like I'm sleepwalking through my spiritual life and I forget to remember what I'm supposed to do. I believe modern Christians have to battle the "world" far more than our predecessors, as no other generation of believers has had to face such a barrage of distractions in their walk. I will pray for Christ to strengthen you. Please remember me in your prayers.

God bless you.

Comments: Yes, despondant is a great description. I feel like I should be doing more, NEED to be doing more, but don't. I see prophecy unfolding everywhere, know that our time is short, but instead of being excited, I seem to be gettting depressed. It seems I ned to pick myself up, dust myself off and put on the whole armor of God.  Great article, Brother.

Great commentary Alf that really hit home!!!

Can't recall where or by whom . . . but I once read that even when we weren't "formally" praying . . . we should constatly be in a prayerful state . . . makes sense to me!!!

Carolee, Me too!  Fortunately, I am usually alone all day and I love being able to "pray without ceasing" for my family especially, as I hear about their needs.  If I turn on the TV, it is to watch/listen to cable news and pray for our world & it's crisis du jour.  It is a privilege to be aware of God's Presence no matter what I am doing ... after all, there are no secrets from Him, and I know he loves me unconditionally, and for that I am most grateful.  Holy Spirit either confirms or convicts me and leads me to continue or cease the direction of my thoughts and actions.  I know it is going to be wonderful to go Home to His Presence, but I am at peace knowing He is with me wherever I am.  Halleluiah

I can't tell you how good it was to read this and realize that I am not alone, Alf. And in reading the comments, that there are so many people feeling like I am. It is getting so hard for me to not be weary and lazy. I thank God for this fellowship of believers. We sure do need one another to shore each other up and keep marching.
I often think if I could just see ahead, how close His coming is, I would be SO FIRED UP to get out there. So, I DO imagine I know, because His promise is sure. We will be gone - in an instant - and it could be very, very soon. Maranatha!!!
