10 Shout AMEN!Amen ~ 2 PrayingPraying

Member Comments:

Wow! Great insight. I stopped watching TBN, just because I saw the prosperity gospel 'seeds'were a huge lie. I met several of these leaders and almost got suckered into it, however adversity came and pulled me out! Thank you Lord for well placed adversity that in the end was sweet.

8 Shout AMEN!Amen ~ PrayingPraying

wandering stars for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.  Jude 1:12-13

This is interesting and off the subject, sorry, There are Stars that have been thrown from a galaxy either by gravity or an explosion and they wonder between galaxies in total darkness, Because of the great distances between galaxies they travel alone through the blackness of space until they burnout. How did Jude know about something we have only found proof of in the last century.  The Bible is an amazing Book.

This is a very good Article Pete. If there were typos I sailed right over them.

4 Shout AMEN!Amen ~ PrayingPraying

Comments: Corruption in the church actually began in Paul's day. Then the rise of the Roman Catholic Church devastated the world. The corruption of liberal theology began as you said and has gone absolutely haywire. Wherever there is a church organization with a human head (single pastor), that church is ripe for the plucking, because if the head is corrupted the entire body soon follows. The Word provides for non-paid elders setting an example among the flock. That arrangement is so much more difficult to infiltrate. When it comes to church, people just toss their brains out the window and fear sticking to the Word.

As for money grubbing, here's a long but excellent article on the truth regarding tithing. It really set me free. http://www.bible-truths.com/tithing.html

And I want to apologize to everyone for the editing on this.  I simply didn't have the time this week to devote to going back over it with a fine-tooth comb. I will do better in the future!
