Thanks Pete,
I just read today that Mark Zuckerberg, is contemplating a run for President of the USA in 2020. I have been considering for several years now whether he could be a candidate for the unenviable position of "antichrist". I know he comes from Jewish background. Does this have any possibility as being true? I know that the scriptures speak of the antichrist as being "the Assirian".
Any comments on this?
Love your articles, Don

Of course. Southern Jordan - Edom. AC will be an Edomite. The blood feud will come to fruition. And a part of the the Eastern leg of the Roman Empire. Of course. Thank you. There is so much - so many details. I tend to get confused. Well, to be honest, I am often confused. :o) I am looking forward to heaven when my mind works better to delve into all the history and mystery and wonderfulness of God - a glorified mind and body. Ahhh... And no sin... impossible to imagine.

Comments: Where the antichrist comes from: Go to Daniel 11. The ram (Alexander the Great) dies childless and his kingdom is divided between his 4 generals. Gabriel gives Daniel some future history as to their movements. Alexander's general, Seleucus Nicator I, ends up ruling the territory out of which the AC comes, formerly ruled by Alexander (and these countries comprise the king of the north), Iran, Iraq, Syria, southern Jordan and (possibly) Lebanon. That's where AC (the little horn) comes from--he can't come from anywhere else on earth. These countries were also part of the Eastern leg of the Roman Empire. Egypt was (is) the king of the south. Wish I had more room.

When the Bible talks about coming out of the old Roman Empire - could it mean genetic lines? Does it really mean born in one of those countries?
Also, you said God restrains through the ceasing of the signs and wonders. I was just thinking, could this really be the meaning of the removal of the "restrainer?" Because signs and wonders will be everywhere during the Trib. Then, this would not be something we would see this side of the rapture.
Can't believe you wrote this in '13. relevant still today.
Obama looks like an AC wannabe these days. But, there are two rising up that are looking to be loved by Israel and are sure they will be able to make a "deal." Are we really that close? Methinks so. I feel a particular urgency to pray and share. Of course, I always have. I'm so ready!

Thank you soooo much for your insight and writing, Pete! Stay safe and God Bless!

And Maranatha!!!

Technically speaking, all we really know with any real specificity, is that this man comes out of the old Roman Empire (Dan. 9:26-27). I don't think that helps pinpoint a specific nation though...as it could mean a lot of different places. But I do think that the antichrist will not be a  politician per se, or not a career one--ex general or something
