The Debate Debate
I regularly get emails from people asking me for advice on how to disabuse someone of a particular notion or heresy that they have decided to champion. Most often, its the timing of the Rapture, but not exclusively.

The Last Trump
September 26, 2016 - Perspective on the News
So this is coming out before the debates tonight, and there is some risk on my part, to predict things that may or may not happen. With that said, my track record isn’t half bad…I’m usually about 50% right on stuff, so take that with a grain of salt. So what I’m trying to say is, I could be right, or I could be wrong…and barring any major calamities or other black swan type events, here is how I see things playing out.
Everyone Loves Israel
September 23, 2016 - Israel - Middle East
Everyone loves Israel. Sure they do. Not just Israel - the Jews as well. They love them to death. Forgive me; my sarcasm just spilled onto my keyboard. I hate it when that happens.
The Arch of Ba’al
September 22, 2016 - Commentary on the News
Ba’al was a bad boy in the false-god department 3600 years ago, maybe longer. His wife Ashteroth was not much better. They were both fertility deities and their world consisted of temple prostitution and human sacrifice as well as orgies and other forms of sexual decadence.
Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Bang?
September 20, 2016 - In Defense of the Faith
A quick review of internet apologetics reveals that pretty much every Christian organization that disseminates scientific reasons for belief are firmly antagonistic to the Big Bang Theory. Which they might want to rethink, since that puts them snuggly in bed with more than a hundred years of atheistic scientists, and counting. Why? Because atheists grasp the Big Bang’s implications.
The End of the Beginning

"Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning." ~Sir Winston Churchill

Apologetics at the Speed of Light
September 14, 2016 - In Defense of the Faith
You know in comic strips when the little light bulb appears on top of a character’s head? Meaning they just had a Eureka moment? I had mine this morning. And as someone for whom apologetics is like crack, all I can say is that I should have caught this earlier. Because it changes everything.

"We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one." 1 John 5:19
Jesus and Buddha
September 09, 2016 - In Defense of the Faith
What do Jesus and Buddha have in common? Well, lots of things....at least according to some people.
The Professors of the Modern-Day Church
September 08, 2016 - Globalism - Ecumenism
Church today is not your Grandma’s church, at least not in the big city. Fire and brimstone has been replaced with rock ‘n roll. Big-screen TVs adorn the walls, so hymnals are almost unnecessary. In so many churches God just wants you to be happy, and rich.
Call Me Eliphaz
September 06, 2016 - Witnessing Tools
Moved my daughter to college last week, where she was presented with a great opportunity to trust God with a disaster in the making. I gently suggested that response, she ignored me. And had a meltdown. He came through, though. Bigtime. And only then did I realize that I had a serious lack of faith going myself.
Dark Rivers of the Heart

Centuries ago I bought a nice house in a quiet little street in an inner-city suburb. It was a haven nestled away from the outside hustle and bustle of the larger city.

September 01, 2016 - Perspective on the News
Have you ever wondered what color Adam and Eve were?
August 31, 2016 - Witnessing Tools
''Whom the Lord loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives'' (Hebrews 12:6). Not a warm fuzzy verse but one that speaks of His love. And we've all recognized God's discipline once or twice.
August 29, 2016 - Prophecy - Signs
But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed. Luke 17:25-30
