Ines Weber
Ines Weber Ms. Weber, a native of Romania, is a Second Generation Holocaust survivor. Along with her mother, she escaped Communist Romania in 1976 by fleeing to then West Germany where she completed her High School education and where her mother worked as a physician until retirement.
Ms. Weber came to the US in 1981 and completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Dallas, an internationally renowned Catholic institution. Following an academic career which included work as a Jewish Religious School principal, teacher of foreign languages (German and Romanian), a lecturer of International Management, and State of Texas grant recipient to work with disadvantaged youth, she founded Travel and Learn, Inc. a tour company specializing in the design and delivery of accredited (undergraduate and graduate) international study tours. The company works with major universities in the Dallas area.
More recently, Ms. Weber became involved with projects pertaining to Christian-Jewish relations and delivered the March of the Living Tour 2006 for Bridges for Peace. It is by means of this opportunity that Ms. Weber has been able to realize one of her life’s passions, the idea of pursuit of mutual understanding, respect and reconciliation between Christians and Jews. This constitutes a natural progression from her work on the reconciliation between Germans and Jews, specifically against the background of current political environment.
A published translator and freelance interpreter, Ms. Weber has developed a wide personal network of officials and institutions all over the world. From Germany, her second home, Ms. Weber has designed and delivered numerous organized tours which have received much acclaim and recognition from participants and institutions alike. Ines resides in Dallas, Texas.
